Welcome to 2018!

2018 has arrived, and brings with it the centenary of a wide range of events to be marked, commemorated, and understood. We will be updating (and freshening up) the website in due course, but in the meantime, here are two very useful overviews (from RTÉ and The Irish Times respectively) of what happened in 1918 (and how they may, or will be, marked in 2018) by Martin O’Donoghue of the NLI and Ronan McGreevy of The Irish Times.
