5 October 2013: Decade of Centenaries presentation at HTAI Annual Conference

The annual conference of the History Teachers Association of Ireland (HTAI) took place in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, on 4-6 October 2013. On Saturday 5 October, the conference held a special session highlighting some of the commemorative initiatives being undertaken as part of the Decade of Centenaries programme, and how these initiatives might be integrated into the history curriculum at Junior and Leaving Cert Levels. The conference heard presentations from Sinead McCoole, curator of the Jackie Clarke Collection; Prof. Mike Cronin of Boston College, who conducted a workshop on the Century Ireland project; and John Gibney of History Ireland.
