A major conference, ‘Labour, Gender, and Class in the Struggle for Irish Independence, c. 1918-24′, has been organised by The Irish Centre for the Histories of Labour and Class in NUI Galway, in conjunction with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions, and supported by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, at NUI Galway, 7-9 November. With 60 speakers over three days, it promises to be a memorable event.
