BbSEfD8CAAEGwpW.jpg-largeOn 4 December 2013 the Ambassador of Ireland to the Kingdom of Belgium, H.E. Mr. Eamonn Mac Aodha, hosted a reception to launch the embassy’s First World War Centenary programme. Irish Actor Gavin Drea (Love/Hate) gave a performance inspired by letters sent home from Irish solders based in Belgium during the First World War. This was followed by a performance by Irish group Celticanto, drawing on their repertoire of traditional Irish music and song adapted to the operatic bel canto style. Following the performances, all guests were invited to a reception.
