‘Revolutionary decade roadshow’, Muckross House, Killarney, 29 March 2014
On Saturday 29 March from 12pm-5pm a ‘Revolutionary decade roadshow’, organised by the UCC School of History, took place in Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farm, Killarney National Park, Co. Kerry Members of the public were invited to come along to The Schoolhouse with any documents or memorabilia from the ‘revolutionary decade’ in Irish history (c1912 -1923), to discuss the historical significance of same with members of staff from the UCC School of History. There were also exhibitions organised a number of historical societies, along with a number of historical re-enactments. The event was opened by Mr Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht.
