7 November 2018: ‘Please God, he will come home safely’, Edenderry, Co. Offaly

On Wednesday 7 November 2018 Dr. Ciaran Reilly, on behalf of the Edenderry Historical Society, gave a lecture in Edenderry Library, Edenderry, Co. Offaly, entitled ‘Please God, he will come home safely’. This will explore the experience of the First World War, and its conclusion, from the perspective of the inhabitants of Edenderry.

The lecture took place in Edenderry Library at 6.30pm. Edenderry Library is also hosting an exhibition of World War One memorabilia throughout the month of November.
