From Thursday 4 February to Sunday 7 February the Éigse na Brídeoige cultural festival took place in Uíbh Ráthach/Iveragh, Co. Chiarraí/Kerry, on the theme of ‘Súil siar: Súil ar aghaidh/Looking forward: looking back, 1916-2016’. There was a wide range of lectures and performances relating to the centenary theme, and participants will include Tim Horgan, Francis Devine (SIPTU), Donal O’Kelly, and Cormac Ó Gráda (UCD). Simultaneous headphone translation was available at the events.
