On Saturday 3 October the National Museum of Ireland (Decorative Arts and History), Collins Barracks, Dublin 7, hosted a series of advance presentations on the themes and artefacts of the forthcoming exhibition, ‘Proclaiming a Republic: The 1916 Rising’, due to open at Collins Barracks in February 2016. This event was part of the museum’s programme for the Dublin Festival of History 2015, managed by Dublin City Public Libraries.
