3 February 2015: ‘Hidden pages from World War One’, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin
On Tuesday 3 February 2015 the Irish Society for Archives, in association with St Patrick’s Cathedral, organised a seminar entitled Hidden pages from World War One, which took place in the Lady Chapel of St Patrick’s Cathedral. The purpose of the seminar was to highlight previously unknown archival sources on soldiers and civilians in World War One, as described by the curators who had discovered them. Participants included: Nicky Ralston (National Library of Ireland), Noelle Dowling (Catholic Diocesan Archives), Andrew Whiteside (Kilkenny College), Susan Hood (Representative Church Body Library), and Andrew Smith (St Patrick’s Cathedral). The event was chaired by Bryan Dobson (RTÉ).
