25 March 2016: Opening of Easter Rising exhibition, Glasnevin Cemetery Museum, Finglas Road, Dublin 11
On Friday 25 March 2016 Glasnevin Cemetery Museum opened a new dedicated exhibition on the Easter Rising of 1916. The majority of those killed during the 1916 Easter Rising are buried in Glasnevin Cemetery. The new exhibition includes objects, letters, photos and previously unseen material. will tell the stories of those who participated in and witnessed this defining moment in Irish history, from all sides. There will also be a dedicated programme of 1916 tours of Glasnevin Cemetery developed for the centenary year.
