26 November 2016: ‘The battle of the Somme and the First World War’ seminar, Dublin City Library and Archives, Dublin 2

https-cdn-evbuc-com-images-24982593-140075932519-1-originalOn Saturday 26 November, as part of Explore your archive week 2016,  Dublin City Library and Archives hosted an afternoon seminar on ‘The battle of the Somme and the First World War’, arising from the current DCLA exhibition on the Somme.  Subjects discussed included the design and research of the exhibition itself, the experience of Irish soldiers at the Somme, and their subsequent experience on returning home after 1918. Speakers included Noelle Mitchell (DCLA), Ronan McGreevy (Irish Times), and Declan F. Brady.

The seminar took place in Dublin City Library and Archive, 138-144 Pearse St, Dublin 2.
