25 October 2017: ‘The October Revolution in Russia: The impact of Communism in Ireland’, PRONI, Belfast
On Wednesday 25 October the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) hosted a one day conference entitled ”The October Revolution in Russia: The impact of Communism in Ireland’. This will explore the impact of the October Revolution on Ireland with particular reference to the labour movement and women’s activism, trade unions, political parties, and the ‘Soviets’ of the Irish revolution. Speakers included Conor Kostick, Mary Davis (Royal Holloway), and Emmet O’Connor (UU).
