25 July 2014: Saint Patrick’s Cathedral World War One exhibition available online
As of Friday 25 July, the interactive online exhibition ‘Lives remembered’ is available through the website of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. The exhibition explores the cathedral’s connections to World War One in terms of how the cathedral congregation was affected by the war; the manner in which the war is remembered in the cathedral through its monuments; and the role that Saint Patrick’s has, and continues to, play in the remembrance of those lost in conflict.
The exhibition of the same name is on display in the cathedral, but the online version is intended to broaden its reach beyond those who have, or can, physically visit Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. Key features of the online exhibition include an interactive timeline and a new interactive monument, the ‘Tree of remembrance’.
