In March 2019 Glasnevin Trust, in conjunction with the School of History and Humanities at Trinity College Dublin, hosted its annual Spring lecture series on the theme of ‘Social History and the Irish Revolution’ every Wednesday evening in March at 7.00pm. The third lecture in the series was delivered by Dr Brian Hughes (Mary Immaculate College), and was entitled ‘”This is supposed to be a civilised country and part of Great Britain!” Southern Irish Loyalists and Revolution’.
The lecture, and accompanying discussion, took place from 7pm-8.30pm on Wednesday 13 March in the Milestone Gallery, Glasnevin Cemetery Museum, Finglas Road, Dublin 11; full details can be found here.
