19 November 2014: Church of Ireland symposium on ‘The ethics of war’, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin
To mark the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War, the Church of Ireland’s Historical Centenaries Working Group, has organised open event on the theme of ‘The ethics of war’ as a distinctive Church of Ireland contribution to the commemoration of the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.
Prof. Nigel Biggar (Oxford) spoke on the theme based on his recent book In defence of war, to which Prof. Keith Jeffrey (QUB) will respond. The event was chaired by Dr John Bowman, and took place in the Music Room of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin.
