18-27 September: ‘From the Lockout to the trenches…or the GPO?’: East Wall History Festival 2015, East Wall, Dublin 3
The 2015 East Wall History Festival took place in East Wall, Dublin 3, from 18-27 September 2015. Organised by the East Wall Local History Group, this community festival took as its theme the experience of the Revolutionary Decade 1913-23 in the East Wall region of Dublin, with particular emphasis on working-class culture and Dublin’s Docklands. Beginning on Culture Night, September 18, it incorporated an exhibition on the history of the area with the launch of an associated booklet, musical performances, and walking tours. All welcome.
