3 April 2013: '16 Lives' launch

On 3 April 2013 Hodges Figgis bookshop, on Dawson St, Dublin 2, hosted ‘An evening of 16 lives’. The 16 Lives series was launched in 2012 by O’Brien press, and consists of biographies of the 16 men executed for their involvement in the Easter Rising of 1916. Two more titles were published in 2013: Edward Daly, by Helen Litton; and Seán Heuston, by John Gibney. The event was opened by Michael O’Brien, of O’Brien Press, and was addressed by John Gibney and Helen Litton, who spoke about the subjects of their respective books. Lorcan Collins, series editor of the ’16 Lives’ series, also spoke on the evening.
