26 March 2014: ’16 Lives’ launch, Dublin
At 6pm on Wednesday 26 March 2014 Hodges Figgis bookshop, on Dawson St, Dublin 2, hosted the launch of the latest volumes in the O’Brien Press ’16 Lives’ series. The series was launched in 2012, and consists of biographies of the 16 men executed for their involvement in the Easter Rising of 1916. The two volumes being released in March 2014 are Thomas Clarke, by Helen Litton; and Seán MacDiarmada, by Brian Feeney. The books were launched by the series editor, Mr Lorcan Collins, and the launch was addressed by the two authors, and Mr John Kennedy of the Department of Arts, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht.
