25 November 2013: ’16 Lives’ launch
On Wednesday 25 November 2013 Wynn’s Hotel, on Abbey St, Dublin 1, hosted the launch of the latest volume in the O’Brien Press ’16 Lives’ series: Roger Casement, by Angus Mitchell. Both the venue and date were chosen to mark Casement’s involvement in the foundation of the Irish Volunteers. The series was launched in 2012, and consists of biographies of the 16 men executed for their involvement in the Easter Rising of 1916. The books will be launched by the series editors, Mr Lorcan Collins and Dr Ruan O’Donnell, and the launch was addressed by Brian P. Murphy OSB of Glenstal Abbey.
