12 December 2018: ‘Political voices: the participation of women in Irish public life, 1918—2019’, National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin 2

On Wednesday 12 December 2018 the National University of Ireland, in collaboration with Maynooth University Social Sciences Unit presented a one-day symposium entitled ‘Political Voices: the Participation of Women in Irish Public Life, 1918-2018’.

This symposium formed part of the NUI’s ‘Decade of Centenaries’ programme, and was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the December 1918 general election. It explored the participation of women in the political life of the state from 1918 to 2018.

The symposium took place in the National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square, Dublin 2. Follow this link for the full programme.
