On Tuesday 1 December the National Library of Ireland, Kildare St, Dublin, 2, hosted a History Ireland ‘Hedge School’ debate on the topic of ‘Popular culture and the Great War’. The debate was chaired by History Ireland editor Tommy Graham, and the panelists included Angus Mitchell, John Horne, Maurice Walsh and Jennifer Wellington.
